Welcome to Aughagower Athletics Club
Welcome to Aughagower AC, a thriving club located in Aughagower, Co Mayo. The club founded in 2012 by Ernie Deacy, Breifne Gannon, Mel King,and Lorna Harper, operates out of the community centre in Aughagower village. The club is governed by Athletics Ireland and caters for juvenile athletes age 7 to 18. It is open from September until June each year. The coaches teach the basic skills in running, jumping and throwing to younger athletes while helping to develop these skills further in older athletes.

For those preparing for the Dublin City Marathon, our Half Marathon provides an excellent late-season fitness test. And if the Sea2Summit is on your radar, the course’s varied terrain and hills offer great preparation without heading straight for the mountain!
Most importantly, this event welcomes runners of all abilities. Come for the challenge, stay for the atmosphere, and experience a race that’s unlike any other in the West of Ireland.
