Very proud of these two boys, Jake Lockyer and Matthew Killeen have qualified for all Irelands by getting silver In the Connacht turbo javelin team competition and Matthew got individual silver. You both have done yourselves and Aughagower Athletics Club very proud.
Mayo Athletic Competitions May 2024
What a day!!
Congratulations to our fantastic athletes who took part in the Mayo competitions in Claremorris today.
Our brave athletes, wore with honour, our Aughagower colours in the sunshine and the rain. We have in the bag, Double Gold for James Kennedy in the 100mtr and 200mtr, gold for Matthew Killen and silver for Conor Sammon with the Turbo javelin, a bronze medal for Aoife Sammon in the Long jump and a bronze medal for Jake Lockyer and Mathew Killeen in turbo javelin pairs competition🥇🥈🥉
All Ireland Competitons in Technological university Shannon
Well, what a day. We had 2 amazing athletes taking part in the Indoor All Ireland competitions in Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone .
Caitlin Gallagher took home a PB in her 200mtr race with a time of 28.93, fantastic Caitlin, well done.
Joseph Cleary also got a PB in his 200mtr race with a time of 25.07, unreal Joseph.
Joseph then took part later on in the day in the 60mtr hurdles, Joseph came in at 9.37 which got him through to the finals.
In the finals, Joseph placed 7th with a time of 9.13. A brand new PB.
A fantastic result, we are so proud of you both..
